Hi, my name is Maciek Krula, but most people call me Krula. As a photographer, I believe in capturing more than just a moment; I believe in capturing you.

Photography is not just my job. It’s my passion, my life. I started my photography journey at 16, and since then, I have devoted my skills to capturing life’s beautiful moments. Whether it’s a portrait that perfectly showcases your personality or a studio photo that tells a story, my goal is to create pictures that touch hearts. From Krakow to London, my adventure in photography has taken me to incredible places and brought me to meet amazing people. It has allowed me to explore many fields, from fashion to beauty photography, and develop a unique style transcending any labels.

But beyond technical skill and experience, I believe that the core of photography lies in the relationship between the photographer and the subject. That’s why I bring you a relaxing and friendly session that allows you to relax and enjoy the creative process. We are on the same side – I’m here to listen to your ideas and make sure the images we create are unique to you. So let’s take this journey together. Let’s create beautiful images you will be proud to share with the world.

Work

The best description of my work ethic is a quote from Thomas Jefferson:

‘’I find the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.’’

It seems to work for me. I’ve noticed that if you work hard on something, then at the end, all pieces of a jigsaw puzzle come together, against all odds.

My philosophy is the same as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s:

1 trust yourself,

2 break some rules,

3 don’t be afraid to fail

4 ignore the naysayers

5 work hard

6 give something back

In photography

I believe in a philosophy of simplicity. Simple solutions, in most cases, are what turn out to be the most effective.

I believe in the simplicity of frame, the simplicity of message, but sometimes to achieve that feeling of simplicity you have to work hard and make a lot of complicated preparations.

That’s why I believe in hard work and that hard work pays off.

Dreams come and go. They change, sometimes because we achieve them and sometimes because we change our priorities.

I do not have a bucket list because, at the end of my road, I don’t want to regret that I haven’t done something or didn’t achieve something. I let my dreams live their own lives.

At this moment, I’d love to:

  • Do a project that involves a helicopter
  • Have my exhibition
  • Travel around the world
  • Break my record of having the most  Haribo jelly bears in my mouth at the same time (personal best 24),

I started my adventure with photography when I was 16. Then, I bought my first copy of Adobe Photoshop (I think it was 3.3 on a few floppy discs) and started my first photography retouching.

When I was 18, I moved to Krakow, where surrounded by photographers, I polished my skills. After a while, I started my first business, a Modelling Agency. This is how I started in fashion and beauty photography.

After a few years, I moved to London. Unfortunately, as a foreigner with big ambitions and weak language skills, I got a hard lesson in humility, and only after a few years was I able to continue my journey as a photographer. I started in fashion, as I had lots of experience in this field, but after a little while, I started working on other projects.

Now, I photograph different projects and run my own photographic company. Three other photographers and I offer photography services to businesses, from advertising, interior, product, and business portraits to food photography. Thanks to all that, I can also work on my projects. I experiment all the time with new techniques and tools. Photography is my passion and my life.

I love what I do, and I do what I love.
